Privacy policy
Last updated 2 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information we collect through burstpractice.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We collect as little as we need, and we don’t sell it or use it for advertising.
Who we are
Burst Practice is operated by Claire Albrecht (ABN 11 775 599 655), based in regional NSW. In this policy, “we” and “us” means Burst Practice.
This policy covers this website only. If your organisation uses the Burst Practice platform, the information it holds there is covered by separate terms.
What we collect
When you register interest, we collect what you enter in the form:
- your name and work email address
- your organisation’s name and size
- the tools you currently use, the modules you’re interested in, and anything you tell us about your data problems
- whether you’ve agreed to receive emails from us
Our hosting provider also keeps standard technical logs when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you requested. These are used to keep the site running and secure.
We use Umami, a cookie-free analytics service, to count visits and see which pages and buttons get used. It doesn’t set cookies or track you across other websites, and we don’t use it to identify individual visitors. We don’t use advertising trackers. Our fonts are served from our own site, so visiting doesn’t send your details to Google.
How we use it
- to reply to you, arrange a demo and tell you about First Edition places and pricing
- to understand what arts organisations need, so we build the right things
- to send you news about Burst Practice’s launch, but only if you ticked the box agreeing to it
Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe, or you can email us and we’ll take you off the list.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell, rent or trade your information. We use four service providers to run this site:
- Vercel, which hosts the website
- Supabase, which hosts the database where your form submission is stored
- Resend, which sends us an email to let us know you’ve registered
- Umami, which provides our cookie-free website analytics
These providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose providers with strong security practices and only share what they need to provide their service.
We’ll only disclose your information otherwise if the law requires it.
How we keep it and for how long
Form submissions are stored in our database, which only Burst Practice staff can access, and a copy arrives in our email. We keep them while we’re in touch about Burst Practice, and delete them if you ask us to or once they’re no longer needed.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email dev@burstpractice.com and we’ll respond within 30 days.
Questions and complaints
If you have a question or a concern about how we’ve handled your information, email dev@burstpractice.com. We’ll look into it and reply within 30 days.
If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
